NDFMGA Grant Programs

NDFMGA is proud to announce that we have grants available again for 2024. There is only one grant allowed per family or business.

THE YOUTH VENDOR GRANT HAS BEEN FULFILLED FOR 2024 AND IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE!

The Youth Group Gardening Grant program is specifically for organizations and groups that support youth activities. This can be a church, school, private, or nonprofit group that provides youth activities that involve the growing of edible items. Chosen recipients will receive $500.

We have a grant program specifically designed for young entrepreneurs beginning a farmers market venture. The grant program, open to ages 10 to 18, will grant $300 for the purchase of items to assist in selling at a NDFMGA member farmers market.

Mini Grants Available

Farmers Market and Individual Members may now apply for the 2020 Mini grants. Each grant is $500 and is intended to increase the visibility of the NDFMGA and encourage sales and consumption of good produced and sold by our members. If your market would like to purchase promotional items, do some marketing or hold an event that will bring customers to your market - please apply! Individual members who are holding events or purchasing items that will promote the sale and consumption of 'Dakota Grown, It's All Good' products are also invited to apply.

Happy shoppers at a Farmers Market

Are you new to selling at a farmers market or selling direct to the consumer? The NDFMGA has a grant program that offers grants to new vendors and sellers of 'Dakota Grown' products. If you are in your first OR second year of selling at a farmers market or direct to consumer and you are a member of the NDFMGA you may qualify for a grant. There is only one grant allowed per family or business per year.

Farm to School Grant

This grant was created to help growers and producers start selling into schools, restaurants, grocery stores or other entities not related to a farmers’ market in North Dakota, the North Dakota Farmers Market and Growers Association is offering a Farm to School, Restaurant or Grocery/Co-op grant. The full grant amount of $300.
